Principles of a Black Belt
Every journey a karate student takes to a Black Belt is different, but they all have the underlying same principles. Students learn and live by these principles on the training floor and in their daily lives.
As a dedicated student of the Martial Arts,
I will develop the principles of a Black Belt, which are:
I will develop the principles of a Black Belt, which are:
Courtesy, Honesty, Integrity, Perseverance,
Self Control, Indomitable Spirit,
Humility, Loyalty,
Whatever you do, do with kindness.Whatever you say, say with kindness.
Wherever you go, radiate kindness.
You cannot do a kindness too soon,
for you never know how soon it will be too late.
for you never know how soon it will be too late.
What you leave behind is not what
is engraved in stone monuments,
but what is woven into the lives of others.
is engraved in stone monuments,
but what is woven into the lives of others.

There are times when you have to build up the inner person as well as the outer. We have been taught to handle the conflicts inside ourselves as well as the conflicts that we may face out on the street. We are taught to respect others as well as have respect for ourselves Two of us are Eaglet Red Belts and our little brother is an Eaglet orange belt but our goals are to go all the way to the top to better ourselves and be prepare for anything that comes against us. We are also studying Music and Gymnastics.
Video of Our Karate School Creed
As dedicated students of the martial arts,
We will develop ourselves in a positive manner and avoid,
anything that could reduce our mental growth or physical health.
We will develop ourself-discipline, to bring out the best in ourselves and others.
We will use what we learn in class constructively and defensively to help ourself
and our fellow man, and never be abusive or offensive.
This is a Black Belt School, we are Dedicated, we are Motivated,
we are Here to Change to be the Best That We Can Be! Black Belt !
Mom Betty and Seth and SiennaHere is a poem from our mom, mom of 13 and counting
She is also a children's author and she is working on a book about her fertility Journey.
The Girl I Used to Be
She came tonight as I sat alone . . .
The girl I used to be . . .
And she gazed at me with her earnest eye
And questioned reproachfully:
The girl I used to be . . .
And she gazed at me with her earnest eye
And questioned reproachfully:
Have you forgotten the many plans
And hopes I had for you?
The great career, the splendid fame,
all the wonderful things to do?
And hopes I had for you?
The great career, the splendid fame,
all the wonderful things to do?
Where is the mansion of stately height
With all its gardens rare?
The silken robes that I dreamed for you
And the jewels in your hair?
With all its gardens rare?
The silken robes that I dreamed for you
And the jewels in your hair?
And as she spoke, I was very sad
For I wanted her pleased with me . . .
This slender girl from the shadowy past
The girl that I used to be.
For I wanted her pleased with me . . .
This slender girl from the shadowy past
The girl that I used to be.
So gently rising, I took her hand
And guided her up the stairs
Where peacefully sleeping, my babies lay
Innocent, sweet, and fair.
And guided her up the stairs
Where peacefully sleeping, my babies lay
Innocent, sweet, and fair.
And I told her that these are my only gems,
And precious they are to me;
That silken robes is my motherhood
Of costly simplicity.
And precious they are to me;
That silken robes is my motherhood
Of costly simplicity.
And my mansion of stately height is love,
And the only career I know
Is serving each day in these sheltered walls
For the dear ones who come and go
And the only career I know
Is serving each day in these sheltered walls
For the dear ones who come and go
And as I spoke to my shadowy guest,
She smiled through her tears at me.
And I saw the woman that I am now
Pleased the girl I used to be.
She smiled through her tears at me.
And I saw the woman that I am now
Pleased the girl I used to be.
